Both engines for the crossover vehicle features gasoline direct injection as well as modern all-aluminum construction networked through a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Available as a front or all-wheel drive model, the 2012 GMC Terrain line-up maintains an average fuel economy above 20 miles per gallon.
